Learning and Engagement Department

The Learning and Engagement department creates opportunities for curiosity, creativity and critical thinking through engaging programs rooted in BC’s diverse histories and cultures.

The mission of the Learning and Engagement department is to use collections, spaces and inquiry based programming to:

Grounded in the First Peoples Principles of Learning, we’re committed to inclusive, respectful practices that foster connection and understanding. Guided by frameworks like the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action (#62 & #67), UNDRIP, and DRIPA, we use collections, exhibitions and conversation to support learning across generations.
