Clifford Carl Hall and Glass Lobby
Located on the museum’s main floor, Clifford Carl Hall (CCH) can be transformed into anything, from a Titanic-era dining room to an Egyptian banquet hall—even a trapeze training school! This versatile space can be customized for lectures, formal dinners, dance floors, or receptions for 100+ guests. Let us help bring your creative ideas to life.
Conference Hall
Perfect for smaller groups, the Conference Hall is a flexible meeting space that can be arranged to suit your specific event needs, whether for workshops, panels, or presentations.
Feature Exhibition Galleries
Host your event in our featured exhibit spaces that has showcased world-renowned exhibitions such as Egypt: The Time of Pharaohs, Maya: The Great Jaguar Rises, Orcas: Our Shared Future, and the much-loved Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Natural History Gallery
Step into 80 million years of history on the museum’s second floor. From the ice wall behind our iconic Woolly Mammoth to the deep-sea feel of the Ocean Station, your guests will journey through British Columbia’s diverse landscapes—all within one floor. This space is ideal for receptions or intimate dining experiences by the shoreline.
Old Town & Human History Galleries
Host your event in Old Town, a beautifully reimagined gallery that captures the charm of early 20th-century Victoria. This unique setting offers an unforgettable backdrop for receptions, corporate events, and private gatherings.
IMAX® Victoria
The largest IMAX® screen in British Columbia, combined with crystal clear images in IMAX 4K Laser and wraparound digital surround sound, IMAX® Victoria offers you an incredible immersive cinematic experience. The 369-seat, 8-wheelchair-stall theatre features 4K IMAX® with laser providing a 2D and 3D experience; with a projected area more than 6 stories high and 80 feet wide. Available for private screenings, conference presentations and events.

We offer a variety of rental packages to choose from. Please see our rates sheet for the most up-to-date information.
2024/25 Venue Rental Rates and Capacities (PDF)The Corporation may cancel this License with 90 days’ written notice, in which case all payments will be refunded and the User’s rights under this Agreement will end without compensation. The User may cancel at any time with written notice.
If the user cancels:
- 30 days or less before: the full amount is payable.
- 31–59 days before: the Corporation keeps the Deposit but refunds other payments.
- 60+ days before the start date: the Deposit will be refunded.
The Royal BC Museum is committed to the responsible purchase, use, and disposal of energy and materials. This policy guides our operations and reflects our commitment to environmental sustainability and due diligence. We also aim to support and educate our community in meeting these goals.
- SOCAN license will be arranged by the museum when the renter provides the museum with details of planned performance in writing.
- A provincial certificate of insurance is required, showing $2,000,000 comprehensive general liability.
- Please note: Red wine and certain foods are not permitted in the galleries.
- All prices include basic museum security, cleaners, an AV technician and an event coordinator.
- The museum has a full range of AV equipment, staging material and props available for rent.
